The Libraries of Boston University are pleased to announce that the online library catalog is now available via an easy-to-use Web interface available on the Internet at http://library.bu.edu. The new WebPac includes all journals, books, indexes, manuscripts, scores, etc., held by any of the Boston University libraries. Searching options include the ability to identify an item by author, title, subject, call number or keywords. In addition, WebPac provides a book renewal option, and links to the Boston Library Consortium Gateway service, Union List of Serials, and a handy FAQ section.
WebPac offers improved searching convenience and power. For example, users will notice that many library resources are now directly linked from WebPac. Links are provided to electronic journal subscriptions, indexes, and other materials. Additional links will be added over time.
For those users whose computers do not offer Web access, the Boston University Libraries will continue to support the text-based, telnet-accessible online catalog interface at telnet://library.bu.edu.
The Libraries would like to acknowledge those staff members who designed the web interface-- Dawn Piscitello, Dave Snyder, David Suiter, Russell Sweet, and, in particular, Sacha Jerabek.
